David has worked  professionally as an actor since 1984. Until 1998 David worked at most of the major theaters in the Chicagoland area.  Prior to moving back to NY in 2007 he worked on the west coast primarily at PCPA Theatrefest in CA and as a resident artist at the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. His credits include: Off Broadway; New York City Center’s Encores! production of APPLAUSE with Tony award winning director Kathleen Marshall and staring Tony award winning actress Christine Ebersol. Representational roles in regional theatre include  MARY STUART (Lord Burleigh) at Chicago Shakespeare, SWEENEY TODD (Sweeney) at TheatreWorks , Silicon Valley, MAN OF LAMANCHA (Cervantes/Don Quixote) at PCPA Theatrefest (2015 Indy Award winner), RED (Rothko) at The Hangar Theatre, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Tevye) at Portland Center Stage (2014 Drammy Award winner), FALSETTOS (Mendel) at The Alliance Theatre, Atlanta; AS YOU LIKE IT (Oliver), ROMEO AND JULIET(Benvolio) with Michael Cerveris and Phoebe Cates, PAL JOEY (Joey) at The Goodman Theatre; CHESS (Anatoly), SOUTH PACIFIC (Emile) at The Marriott’s Lincolnshire Theatre, Chicago; Resident Equity Actor/Teacher – The Oregon Shakespeare Festival 98’-00’, PCPA Theatrefest 00’-07’.
